FAQs

Common questions

Do I need a referral?
No — you can book directly. Our GP can help you choose the right test if you're not sure.
Is screening worthwhile if I have no symptoms?
Honestly, it depends. For many people a baseline ECG or Cardiac MOT is reassuring and can flag silent issues, but no screen is a guarantee — we'll give you a balanced view for your situation.
Are these tests safe in pregnancy?
ECG and echocardiogram are safe in pregnancy. Cardiac MRI is generally avoided in the first trimester.
I have a pacemaker or implanted device — can I have a cardiac MRI?
Many modern devices are MRI-conditional, but we must check yours first. Tell us the device details when you book.
Can I claim on insurance?
Yes — we can provide an itemised invoice. Please check your policy first.
