Why £400?

You'll find cheaper scans advertised (around £249), and hospitals often charge £600 or more. Our £400 isn't just a scan in a tube — it's the scan plus a full consultant radiologist report, a GP pre-test review, and someone to put the results in context and arrange what happens next. That's where the value is.

FAQs

Common questions

Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly — our GP completes a 10-minute pre-test review and safety screen before every scan.
How quickly will I get my results?
Your scan is reported by a consultant radiologist, typically within 3–5 working days. Urgent reporting can be arranged.
Is there any radiation?
No. MRI uses a strong magnet and radio waves — there is no ionising radiation, which is one reason it's so useful for soft tissue, joints, brain and spine.
I'm claustrophobic or larger-framed — can you help?
Yes. Our wide-bore scanner and Quiet Suite are designed for comfort, with more room and less noise. Tell us in advance and we'll plan your visit around you.
Can I use private medical insurance?
Many patients self-pay, but we can provide an itemised invoice in your insurer's preferred format — please check your policy first.
